Heat

True to form, the first week of band camp, in this case, the only week of band camp, is hot, hot, hot and sunny! All those sunburned band members! It really has me wondering - why does band camp not start until 10am? Wouldn't it make more sense to start early and try to get some time in before it gets too hot? I suppose, we are talking about teenagers here. It's hard enough getting them out of bed in time to get them there at 10am (or 9:30 in our case - Mr. Drum Major has to be there before the band) - getting them going any sooner would take a miracle. It is summer, after all.
