How to Avoid Those White Marks

You know those white marks that always end up on your shirt or blouse? The ones from your deodorant? I don't know about you, but every time I got dressed, no matter how careful I thought I was being and especially if I was putting on a black top, I always had these white marks. Then I had to figure out how to get rid of them.

Finally, I got really frustrated, and that's when my mom tells me:
I've found that if I roll my shirt up from the bottom, holding the roll as I put on, then unrolling, the deo marks are on the inside instead of outside.
After first wondering why she hadn't taught me that years ago, I started rolling my shirts up before putting them on. Guess what? It works! Since the only part of the shirt that is exposed to the deodorant is the inside, that's where any white marks end up, and that doesn't matter.

Of course, maybe my mom did teach me this years ago, and I just didn't pay attention. It would be like if I tried to tell Beth right now. She wouldn't want to hear it. She'd rather have the white marks than follow my suggestions. Then again, maybe white marks are the style, like showing your bra straps - either way, not a style I want to follow.

  1. I hate it when that happens! Thanks for the tip, I am definitely going to start doing that from now on.

  2. Have you ever tried to put one or two drops of citrus juice or 25% acetic acid solution to the mark? Keep it for a moment then add a little bit detergent, wash/brush gentle. If the stain not 'too hard', it'll be dissapear.

  3. Geez - why didn't I think of that? It always happens at the worst times, right? Great tip!
