What Do I Do Now?

The board of the deciding game in the World Sc...Image via WikipediaWhile I eat breakfast, I like to play Scrabble and Scrabulous on Facebook. It doesn't take two hands, like writing a blog post or commenting. This morning I went to start Scrabble, and nothing happened. I tried again and got a message saying that Scrabble is down for maintenance. So I tried Scrabulous, and got a message that Scrabulous has been disabled for users in the US and Canada. What? No warning. What about those 16 games I'm playing?

I'm guessing that, now that the official Scrabble game is available on Facebook, they want people playing that. I'm OK with that, except that I would really like to finish the games I was playing on Scrabulous - and then switch over to Scrabble. The only thing I don't really like about the way Scrabble works is that I can't just type my words in, and the moves list shows the word played, but not necessarily which letters were played. Other than that I really like the way it works, and I especially appreciate being able to rearrange the letters in my tray - like I would if I was playing Scrabble at my kitchen table.

Still, what about all those unfinished games? And what do I do while Scrabble is down for maintenance? Blog?

I guess I should have been reading more:

  1. Aww, that sucks! I mean, not that I like Scrabble (I'm horrible with languages) but I understand having a game that you get used to playing. :(

  2. Ack! I'm in the middle of a Scrabulous game, too! *runs to check the status* Awwww... *frump* I am so sad! I had just pulled into the lead after being behind from the very start of the game (there's only so much you can do with 1-point letters).

What do we do now? *frump*
