She Came Through

Beth got up this morning, got in the shower, got ready, and left the house in plenty of time to get Cory to school by 7:30. And, she didn't complain about it at all, except to ask why Cory thought the car needed to warm up for so long. She's right, the car probably didn't need to warm up for quite that long, but it was cold out this morning.

Beth is like me in some ways - plenty of other ones I don't understand at all, but some I do. You can't just throw something at her last minute and expect her to roll with it. You've got to give her some time to think about it and figure out how to make it work, and then she's OK. Or is able to come up with a suitable alternative.

I'm like that, too - not spontaneous in any way. Give me time to think. Maybe it would help if I didn't feel like I need to at least have an idea how things are going to work or exactly how I'm going to get somewhere before I actually do it or go there. So, anyway, if you want something from me, or Beth, don't wait until the last minute to ask.

What, you may ask, did that have to do with beanies? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

  2. Beanies had nothing to do with everything. I just had to include the link and couldn't come up with anything relevant. Usually I try to slip the links in better than that. :P

I can't even jump if it's my idea - except that I don't have to. If it's my idea, then I've had plenty of time to think about it...
