Looking at the Sky on Friday - 34

Photobucket

I’m so glad there’s a meme like Looking at the Sky on Friday, because it means all the time I spend looking at the sky, and taking pictures of it, has a purpose! Click the badge for more info.

While we were hiking at Starved Rock State Park a couple weeks ago we noticed this dramatic line across the sky – light on one side, dark on the other.

I’m not sure exactly why it looked like that, but it was cool to see.

If you enjoy skies as much as I do, be sure to check out Looking at the Sky on Friday.

  1. Sure makes a cool photo. I'm guess ing the line is a weather front passing through. ;-)

  2. That is awesome! I'm glad you had your camera ready because that is indeed, unusual.

  3. Fabulous photos! I am always amazed by the way that clouds can transform the sky.

I love the second shot. I am guessing that the shadow from your finger or something makes that darkness on the other half..

Please come and see the beautiful blue sky in Donsol, Philippines

    Have a nice weekend!

It is a line of demarcation between t he clouds. Each side is defined into dark (almost stormy) and light (leaning toward a sunny break). For sure, there are plenty of shades of gray!

  7. Wow! It looks like the sky is dividing. Really cool!

Interesting demarcation line in the sky!

Oh no, my hubby said the same thing. I didn't read his comment before I wrote mine. I guess we think alike.

That is a neat cloud formation.
