I have friends who read a lot more than I do, so I was thinking I wish I had time to read more. Of course, I was surprised at my total number by the time I got finished with the list.
ReplyDeleteI loved Dewey - it made me cry several times.
We own a couple of the books on my list, but the majority of them come from the library. I like library books best because I don't have to pay for them, and when I'm finished reading them, they don't take up room on my shelves. Of course, I have enough books of my own - it's just that I read the books from the library instead, because I can always read mine later. Except later doesn't ever seem to come. :P
One of my 'resolutions' is to take take time out for 'me' and doing the things I used to enjoy so much before the computers and internet took over my life. One of the main things on that list is reading. So, I'm getting back into reading, and I'm really realizing how much I love it and missed it.
ReplyDeleteDid you enjoy The Story of Edgar Sawtelle? That's a book I've been wanting to get for my dad and me to read (we trade books back and forth often).
Thanks for reading THE BOOK OF NAMES! We had a blast writing it and hope you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteJill Gregory and I are voracious readers as well. Fun to see your eclectic reading list. Happy reading in 2010.
