Do You Facebook for the Games?

I cannot believe how many games there are on facebook.  For a long time I just left all the game updates on my newsfeed, figuring it was a way to see what my friends are up to.  It wasn't until I started hiding all the games last week that I actually realized there were so many.  Before, they just kind of blended together, people talking about a philadelphia job or a barn-raising, or accepting a sparkly heart.

Then I started hiding them.  I hid Farmville and Mafia Wars and Vampire Wars and something about Castles.  I hid Yoville and Cafe World and Happy Little Aquarium or whatever it's called.  And just when I thought I had them all hidden, something else would show up.  Seriously, how many are there?  And how do these people find time to play them all?

The only thing I'm worried about is that now I'll never hear from some of my facebook friends, because I don't think they ever did anything but play the games.  So, if you just facebook for the games, I guess I'm gonna miss you.

  2. I'm guilty. I play a lot of the games, but most don't take up too much of my time. Thankfully, I don't play the farm games anymore...they really suck the life out of you! lol!

  3. LOL, so I was going to say that at least you didn't hide MouseHunt but someone beat me too it.

  4. Give her time and she'll hide MouseHunt. I appreciate FB coming up with grouping similar posts, so I don't have to go through everything anymore. And, yes, I play games...2 regularly and 3 others once in a while. My excuse is that at least this way I have some type of connection with my friends. :-) Plus I enjoy them.

  7. For the record: Just because I didn't specifically mention MouseHunt doesn't mean I didn't hide that one too. The point here is that there are so many I can't even begin to list them all. It's hard enough hiding them.

  8. Now I'm going to read that link and find out how to hide those messages... they tempt me too much to start playing again. I used to play several of the games - then, at the end of 2009, when I made a promise to myself to try to make something happen with my photography, I realized that the Facebook games had to go, because with three jobs, college, the dogs, and the farm - the games were taking up any spare time I managed to find.
I still play bejewelled (like when I'm on the phone), and I play Wordscraper, but they don't take up my time.
