I think the default should be the choice that will help the most people.

Dave - Thanks for the info. I'm heading over to LifeSharers now.

Misty - It is an interesting discussion, but I'm sticking with my first reaction on this. Maybe I just want to assume that most people want to help, but they put off making the decision because they don't want to face their own mortality.bcmomtoohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06890142175838239035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19437210.post-52360521617318043372009-02-27T12:00:00.000-06:002009-02-27T12:00:00.000-06:00Wow, you've got some interesting dialogue going on...Wow, you've got some interesting dialogue going on in these comments, Anna!

I must admit - when I first read the post, I thought it was a great idea. Why should I have to take the effort to opt out of something that I never wanted to opt in to in the first place? Being an organ donor is a choice, not being one should be the default. If you had to sign to say that you didn't want to be a donor, there would be a lot of people who would be inadvertent donors.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19437210.post-87997197140279024592009-02-26T21:00:00.000-06:002009-02-26T21:00:00.000-06:00eh, the government would never allow it.
