Time Out

It's a rainy day, one that calls for curling up on the couch with a good book and maybe a cat on your lap. Instead I've been trying to get the house straightened up - where does all this clutter come from, and how does it pile up so? I'm pretty sure I'm never going to get caught up with all the junk mail, newspapers and magazines, so I'm just going to take a time out and read my book. I just got the new Dan Brown book, The Lost Symbol back from Cory, and I really want to read this before I have to take it back to the library. It's not like anyone is watching, though I always tease Jeffrey about the video surveillance equipment he has in the house, because he always seems to call me at the most inopportune times like when I just get my hands into the dish water or just get into the bathroom.

Weasley climbed into my lap when I sat down just now, and he's strongly encouraging me to put the computer down and read the book. Actually, he's probably trying to tell me that there will be more room on my lap without the computer in the way, and he doesn't care about the book. He'd rather have me put everything down and give him my undivided attention, but I'll pretend he wants me to read.
