Mom Knows Everything

Well, of course she does! If only we could convince the kids of that. Now. Before they're all grown up and out of the house. When I found a blog called Mom Knows Everything I just had to visit! How could I not? Maybe this mom knows something I don't. Face it. Lot's of moms know stuff I don't. No, wait. Forget I said that, and definitely don't let my kids know. In the meantime, I'll be reading Tammy's blog and smiling as she describes getting ready for her camping trip and tells this adorable story of eating ice cream at 1:30am with her 2-1/2 year old. Doesn't that make you just want to melt?

Clean Bathrooms

I cleaned my bathroom today. That's a big deal, because I don't clean the bathrooms as often as I used to. Seriously, not as often as I should. When the kids were little, I cleaned both bathrooms every Thursday. I'm having a hard time figuring out how I managed to do that. I'm thinking the fact that I didn't spend nearly as much time online probably had something to do with it, but don't tell anyone I actually admitted that.

I am thinking that some more online time when the kids were little would have been beneficial. Maybe there weren't so many of those mommy bloggers I mentioned earlier out there, because that was before blogging was so popular and so many people were doing it. It's so nice that moms today have that kind of resource - even if it's only to share their experiences. It's nice to know you're not the only mom who's kid threw up in the dentist's office, for instance. I'm reading some of these blogs and wishing I knew some of the things these moms are writing about back then. Oh well, live and learn. In the meantime, I'm really happy to have found my friend over on LiveJournal, bojojoti. Her kids are grown. They turned out great, but she's been there and done that with the whole teenage attitude thing. She gives me hope!

So, you never know, maybe there's something I can offer to those moms with younger kids. I've been there and done that. Hopefully I learned something along the way!
