Review: Ladies Tan Thru Golf Gloves

It's the middle of winter here, and we've got a lot of snow on the ground, so now isn't really the time to be talking about golf gloves or playing golf.  Though, I think true golfers are thinking about golf year-round and would gladly play any chance they could get.  Me, I've never played, but if I did, I would definitely need to get one of these tan thru golf gloves.  I did get one free for review, but my husband who does play golf tells me that I need one for the other hand since I'm left-handed.  There are all kinds of other ladies golf gloves, but I really like these.

Even though I didn't wear it to play golf or get to try out the tan thru properties of this glove, I did try it on.  It fits very nicely, and I love the half length that keeps my fingers free.  I don't know about you, but I always have a hard time doing anything with gloves on, so the open fingers are really important.  I also love the tan thru mesh on the back, which not only allows the sun to get through, eliminating weird tan lines, but is also designed to help keep the hand cool.  The palm is nice and soft and made of a SureFeel palm material for a better grip.  I'm sure that is very important if you don't want golf clubs flying when you try to hit the ball.  I also love that this glove is machine washable, which I think is very important for all sports equipment.

I tried really hard to think of what I could wear this glove for if I'm not going to take up golf, but I can't really think of anything.  Maybe I should go play golf with my husband.  How hard can it be?  But really, I'm going to give this to one of my lady golfer friends.

If We Get to Myrtle Beach

Jeffrey really wants to go to Myrtle Beach someday.  Apparently, there are lots of great golf courses there.  To tell you the truth, I don't understand the game or why anyone would want to hit a ball around with some sticks trying to get it into some tiny little hole that he can't even see.  But, he likes it, and he would love to play on some of those Myrtle Beach golf courses.

That leaves me wondering what I would do while he's chasing that little ball around, but since Beach is in the name of the place, I think I could survive.  I like the beach, he likes the golf courses - and neither one of us understands the other one.  Still, if we booked one of these Myrtle Beach golf packages, we could both get something we enjoy.  We might not spend a lot of time together, but we might just manage to have a good time.  I do like spending time with him, though.  Really.  I do.

Good Food in Branson

This sounds like fun. The weekend of Friday, February 26th through Saturday, February 27th the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel is hosting an Italian Culinary Weekend. Friday night begins with a reception that includes antipasto and hors d’oeuvres along with great Italian wines.  Then on Saturday participants experience a hands-on cooking demonstration, and it all ends in a 5-course dinner Saturday night.  Prices start at $429 for two people, and that includes the reception, cooking school, the 5-course dinner, and a goodie bag filled with items to take home. 

Yep, sounds like fun.  The only thing is I'd have to find someone else to go with me, because I just can't see my husband doing the cooking school thing.  He's the guy who conveniently forgot how to cook anything when he married me.  Not that I'm actually complaining, because I like to cook, so it works out well.  I think Jeffrey would appreciate the food and Italian wine included in this weekend, but he'd rather get out and enjoy some of the other things Branson has to offer - like championship golf courses, for example. 

There is a lot to do in Branson, museums, live entertainment, lakes, theme parks, shopping, and more.  The Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel is within easy driving distance to everything.  I just wonder how long we'd have to stay in order to see and do everything we'd like to see and do?  We might not make it for the Italian Culinary Weekend, but one of these days we'll have to find out, or at least give it a good shot.

So Much to Do in Branson

It sounds like there is something going on in Branson all the time. I'm not talking about the music shows, though up until recently I thought that was all Branson had to offer. Sure, there are music shows, and there are amusement parks, golf courses, and museums, too. There are special events going on all the time, too, like the Great American Pie Show contest I mentioned a while back and this past weekend's Young Christian's Weekend.

For all these special events and weekends, there's no better place to stay than the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing or the HIlton Branson Convention Center Hotel. Both hotels are within easy driving distance of all the attractions in Branson, and they offer great package deals. For instance, rates started at $179/night for the Young Christian's weekend, and that was for a family of 4 and included passes to Silver Dollar City. Some other Hilton packages are a shopping package that includes accommodations, a breakfast buffet, and a gift card that can be used anywhere in Branson, and a golf package that includes accommodations and a round of golf on Branson's newest golf course. I'm pretty sure that's the package Jeffrey would like. When they say a round of golf for two, does that mean two people have to play at the same time, or can he play twice?

The only problem with that golf package is I don't know what I would do while he's playing golf. I know there's lots to do in Branson, but I don't really want to do it by myself. Oh, never mind - Misty lives somewhere not so far from Branson. While Jeffrey's playing golf, I want to hang out with my friend Misty. Together, we're sure to find something fun to do.

A New Interest in Golf

Jeffrey is always telling me I should go golfing with him. So far I haven't been interested. I've never actually tried playing golf, and the idea of trying to hit a little ball into a little hole I can't even see just sounds frustrating to me. If he ever gets to play on some Las Vegas Golf Courses, I might have to go with him anyway. Not because I really want to play, but because of thes Female Caddy Service offered at the Royal Links Golf Club there.

When golfers book a round of golf at the Royal Links Golf Club, they can also choose to hire one of these female caddies. These attractive young ladies will keep the golfers company and help with all things golf and course related. It's a very interesting idea, and probably a great idea for the single guys, but if Jeffrey tells me he wants to hire one of these Par Mates, then I'm going too. Not that I don't trust him or anything. I have a feeling some other people are going to be developing a new interest in golf, and not necessarily for the same reasons.

Golf in Las Vegas

Jeffrey has wanted to go to Las Vegas for a long time. I've never been completely sure why, but now I think it just might be Las Vegas Golf . I think he'd like to check out some casinos, but I'm pretty sure he'd be even happier checking out some of these golf courses. Walters Golf has the guaranteed best prices and some package deals, so he can play on all their courses, Bali Hai Golf Club, Desert Pines Golf Club and, Royal Links Golf Club for one low price. Not being the golfer in the family, I can't pick my favorite one of these courses, except to say that I really like the English style of the Royal Links Golf Club.
