New Activities to Try This Summer

Judging by all the posts I'm seeing on social media, people are going to be overjoyed when summer rolls around and they can get out and try something new. Honestly, they just want to get back to normal life, but here are a few new activities to try out this summer. These all sound like a lot of fun.

• Equestrian - Equestrian combines the natural wonders of outdoor horseback riding with the thrill of competition. Learning to ride a horse is one thing, but then learning to navigate it around an obstacle course is another aspect of the fun challenge of equestrian. The one easy part of this activity? It's easy to find a place to learn it this summer, such as the equestrian center Chester County. The summer will provide the time you need to get this activity down and make some big strides in equestrian. And then, when the Summer Olympics finally roll around next summer 2021, you'll know a lot more about the equestrian events, too. (I am really bummed about the Olympics being postponed)
   
• Surfing - Live near the water? Why not try out surfing? This sport also requires lots of practice and skill, but the refreshing nature of being in the water on hot summer days is a bit of consolation to wiping out on your board before you get the hang of things. There is nothing as cool as mastering a wave and being in complete control of your board. If you have the time, learning to surf can be a memorable summer activity that you'll come back to for life.
   

• Camping - There are lots of activities to get you closer to the great outdoors, however, nothing will immerse you in them more fully than going camping. With the warm weather, the camping season is at its peak in the summer. To try something different this summer, find a favorite park or campsite and pick a place for your tent to enjoy a rustic night outdoors.

Equestrian, surfing and camping are three fun new activities to try out this summer. With the extra time on your hands the summer will provide, why not try something new?

Mosquito Magnet, Save My Summer!

Those are mosquitoes, lots and lots of mosquitoes.  You know how irritating the little buggers can be!  Wouldn't it be nice if there was a way to take care of them - catch them, kill them, and keep them from biting?  I hate being out in the summer right when it starts to get dark.  The stupid things won't leave me alone.  Sometimes, when they're really bad, they don't care what time of day it is, and they bite all day long.  It really makes spending time outside practically impossible, not to mention the fear of diseases they can spread, like West Nile virus.

Since Jeffrey and Cory built the deck last summer, I know we'll be wanting to spend more time outside when the weather warms up.  It's a great place to sit and eat dinner - as long as we can avoid getting eaten ourselves.  We did buy some Citronella candles, because that's supposed to do something, though I haven't yet figured out what.  Attract mosquitoes maybe?  And I don't particularly like the smell, either.

Last summer I was reading some mosquito magnet reviews and doing a little research on the Mosquito Magnet, wondering if it really works.  I was reading some customer testimonials tonight, and judging from what these people are saying and the pictures they've included with the reviews, this thing really works.  They are eliminating thousands of mosquitoes.  One guy said he'd buy them for all his neighbors if he could.  Imagine how nice that neighborhood would be!  That is one great thing about summer - all the neighbors spending time together outside in the yards.  No mosquitoes would make it even better.

If I thought it would be nice to have one of these before, I think so even more after reading some of these customer testimonials.  The Mosquito Magnet has helped so many people be able to enjoy their yards, without being mosquito bait.  Sounds great, doesn't it?  Now I just have to convince my husband that we need one of these.

Golf in Las Vegas

Jeffrey has wanted to go to Las Vegas for a long time. I've never been completely sure why, but now I think it just might be Las Vegas Golf . I think he'd like to check out some casinos, but I'm pretty sure he'd be even happier checking out some of these golf courses. Walters Golf has the guaranteed best prices and some package deals, so he can play on all their courses, Bali Hai Golf Club, Desert Pines Golf Club and, Royal Links Golf Club for one low price. Not being the golfer in the family, I can't pick my favorite one of these courses, except to say that I really like the English style of the Royal Links Golf Club. Jeffrey will probably want to try them all. The question is, what am I going to do while he's busy playing golf? I hear there's lots to do in Vegas.

For Handling Boats

A lot of summer activities involve water and boats. I live in Wisconsin, and we have some cold winters, so everyone takes advantage of the warm weather in a big way. Then, when winter comes, the boats all need prepared and stored for the winter. That probably involves some kind of Boat Hoist to get them out of the water to keep them from freezing. I'm assuming that would be bad for the boats.

The Stuff You Need to Get Outside

As Jeffrey and I were walking the other day we noticed that our neighbors had brought their camper out of winter storage. They have a nice trailer, and they do a lot of camping. We have a tent and some camping supplies, because we really don't do much camping. We enjoy it, but there's always something else going on, and it's hard to get away on the weekends. Maybe when the kids are grown and gone, things will slow down a little and we can find some time, and some people to camp with.

Of course, that means we'll have to dig out all the camping supplies, see what we have and see what else we need. Until I started browsing this site (Big T Sports) full of camping, fishing, hunting, and outdoor sporting goods, I didn't know we needed so many things. For instance, did you know you can buy a stainless steel margarita glass? Of course, I'm going to need one of those if I'm going to start camping.

I may not ever need marine electronics, because I don't see myself ever doing any fishing - regardless of what you all say. The Big T Sports website has them for those of you who like that kind of thing. They also have all the camping supplies I can imagine, lighting, tents, cookware, sleeping bags, etc. I can smell the campfire now, and taste that margarita.
