New Anti-aging Technology from JeNu

Has anyone tried this JeNu eye wrinkle treatment? It's new, but I'd love to hear from someone who has tried it.  The website says that in 1 week 100% of trial participants showed a decrease in fine lines and wrinkles.  They have some before and after pictures on the site showing not only fewer lines and wrinkles around the eyes but overall more hydrated and youthful skin.

I might have a grandson, but that doesn't mean I can't look younger, right?  I just never know what to use or where to start.  This product uses an advanced ultrasound wave technology that works to activate the ingredients in the eye treatment - so it doesn't just sit on top of the skin and evaporate away, but works on a cellular level.  Sounds good.

Organic Skin Care

I never really thought about it too much before - just used whatever skin care products I got for the best price.  Then I heard something that made complete sense.  Your skin is your largest organ (learned that in school), and whatever you put on your skin will be absorbed into your body.  I even heard someone say that, "If you wouldn't eat it, don't put it on your skin."  I'm not sure I'll go that far, but I am pretty much convinced that I should be using Organic skin care from now on.

Now the question is where do I buy it, and where can I get the best deal?  I've been browsing EnviroProductsWorld where they carry some of the most popular lines of organic products such as One Love Organics, Kiss My Face, Antipodes, Sequoia Beauty, Antho, BeeAlive, Acure Organics and more!  I don't really know much about any of the brands or which ones are better, but I think it's a good place to at least start looking, and a good place to find all the different options available in one place.  There are many different products to choose from instead of being limited to the few natural, organic, and paraben free products available at the local drug store.  If you have any favorite brands, please let me know.  I'm open to any and all suggestions!

Simone France - Review

I was contacted by the people from Simone France skincare and asked if I'd like to try their products.  They had me fill out a skin care analysis form to determine the right products.  They sent me what they call 'The Sandwich' - their signature skin care treatment that includes moisturizer, scrub, and soap in combination.

There are several steps involved, but they sent very clear instructions along with the products, and after about 4 days I didn't even have to refer to them anymore!  Once I got used to it, it really didn't take much time at all.  The evening process was even simpler, using their Rich Milk and Toner.

They said that I would see and feel a difference from the first time I used it, but I have to say I really didn't.  If anything, I thought I saw more fine lines around my eyes - but that's probably because I was looking harder!  I continued using it - except for the week we were gone at the end of December because there were just too many products for traveling light - and then went right back to using the products when I got back home.  I really didn't see a huge difference over what I was already using.

Not that I don't like the products.  I do.  They don't have any kind of obnoxious scent, and they don't have any adverse effects.  I like the soap - I haven't used soap to wash my face in forever, and following the Simone France instructions lets me use it without drying out my face.  I like the scrub, and I'm sure it's better for my skin than what I was using.  The moisturizer (Lovely Glow) is thicker and richer than what I was using before and sometimes can seem a bit greasy, but I haven't noticed any dry skin since I started using it, at least not after the first few days.  They sent me a small sample of their French Formula moisturizer, which is for really dry skin, but that was definitely too heavy.  I tried it after the first couple days with the other one, when I was still feeling a bit dry, but I didn't like it at all.  They say that if you are concerned about preventing lines and wrinkles, the richest moisturizer your skin can take is best.  My skin is usually quite dry in the winter, but I guess not that dry.

I will continue to use these products until they are gone.  I would buy them - if they were sold in my local store for about the same price as the products I am currently using.  But they're not, and even though there are plenty of glowing reviews on the site so I know these products work really well for a lot of people, I just can't bring myself to spend the money.  I would have to see really a dramatic difference to justify the difference in cost.  As an on-line company,  they work closely with all their customers to make sure they have the right regimen for their individual needs.  Everyone can get an in-depth analysis to help find the right products, and they freely exchange products when necessary if an adjustment is needed.  I did not work with anyone beyond my original analysis, just used the products they sent me based on the information I gave them in the first place, so maybe there was some little change that would have given me that dramatic result, and I just didn't take advantage of it.

Dry Skin and Zits

For some reason, while we were gone, my face got really dry.  It seemed like no matter how much moisturizer I put on it, it was still dry.  It just soaked up the moisturizer and wanted more.  It's not like we were in the desert or it was winter.  Actually, usually my hands get really dry in the winter, but my face isn't too bad.  I can't recall my face ever being that dry - except for that time I started using a Sensitive Skin cleanser that dried my face out so bad it hurt.  This time I wasn't using anything different from what I normally use at home.  Maybe it was the water there?  Except we went there last year, and I don't remember the same thing happening, so who knows.

Also, even though my face was super dry, it was still breaking out in odd places.  Yep, dry skin and zits all at once.  Not only do I need a good moisturizer, I also need to figure out what acne lotions work best, without drying out my skin even more.  Hopefully being back home will help things get back to normal without too many changes. 

I am thinking of trying a new moisturizer, which I saw on GMA this morning, but I'm having a hard time finding it on their site right now.  Did anybody see that segment?  It was from Olay, I think.

Inner Health and Outer Beauty Go Together

I was just thinking this morning how I used to color my hair because I wanted it to be a different color. Now I color it because I don't want to see how much of it is going to come in gray silver. It's the same with skin care. Not that I wanted my face to be a different color, but I try to use moisturizer regularly because I don't want to see any wrinkles. If I do see any, I'm going to blame them on my kids, of course, and not on the fact that I'm probably not using the right formula or Clarifying line. I usually buy whatever I can get the best price on and hopefully doesn't have a fragrance. Why do they have to add fragrance to everything? I buy one brand of skin cleanser and another brand of moisturizer, and I hope they work together and do what I want them to do.

I should pay more attention to my skin care regimen. Have You Heard of Red Gac?

I haven't always taken care of my skin. Wait, cross that out. I still don't take care of my skin the way I should. I like the way it feels to lay in the sun, and I like to have a tan. One of these days I'm going to look in the mirror and wonder if there's anything I can do to fix the damage I have already done.

Tonight I've been reading about this R.G. Skin Revitalizer, and I'm wondering if this might be the stuff. R.G. stands for Red “Gâc” (Momordia Cochinchinemis Spreng), a native fruit of Vietnam. This fruit, which grows to the size of a cantaloupe, is very common all over Asia and has long been valued for its medicinal qualities. People grow it in their gardens and eat it with rice. It has an abundance of beta carotene, lycopene, and other antioxidants. The R.G. Skin Revitalizer, taken as a dietary supplement, is supposed to support healthy skin from the inside out. It's supposed to boost the immune system and help skin cells to rejuvenate.
