I don't do much printing. Something has to be really important before I actually print it. I know it's just me, being cheap, thinking about how much printer ink costs and how much I hate to waste it. If it's something I can read on my computer, then I'll just read it on the computer. If it's a recipe, I'll usually jot down the ingredients on an old envelope or run back and forth from the kitchen to the computer to see what comes next. Even though I don't print that much, the printer still goes through ink, and when it's time to buy it, I'm definitely looking for cheap ink cartridges and getting the best deal possible. I like finding codes for extra money off and free shipping, too. Whatever it takes to get the best deal.
In my world, all printer ink would be cheap printer ink, but that's not how it works. Instead I go looking for online sites that sell ink - almost always at better prices than what we could get in a store. There was that one time we found $5 black ink cartridges on clearance at Target, but that rarely happens. The rest of the time, we've always bought ink online. I think it's easier anyway, because you can search for your printer to find the right cartridges, instead of having to remember to write it down and know the number of your ink cartridge when you go to a store - and hoping they actually have it. There are so many different printers and so many different ink cartridges, I don't know how any store can actually carry them all, but online they have them - Genuine, New Compatible, re-manufactured, refill kits, plenty of choices.
If you're looking for cheap ink for printers, I think shopping online is the best. You get a better selection, better prices, and you don't have to worry, because they guarantee your ink cartridges will meet or exceed your expectations, or you can exchange them or send them back for a refund.

We Need Ink Again
A while back I ordered ink for 2 printers and paid, well too much. Why does printer ink have to cost so much? Anyway, the old cartridges finally died completely - and I'm really going to need to print my Harry Potter movie passes - so I had Cory change them all today.
Then I decided to try printing my electric bill to our old printer. This is my printer of choice because it only prints in black ink, and we got several $5 ink cartridges for it a while back. It doesn't cost so much to print to that printer. (If you're counting, we have 3 printers hooked up in our house)
However, my computer will only print to this printer once in a while. It's really fickle, and I don't know why. So I was pleasantly surprised when it printed without complaint today - until I pulled the printed sheet off the printer and saw that it wasn't at all readable. Yep, another dead ink cartridge. And I think we're finally out of the $5 cartridges - I found one, but it's empty, too.

I Got My T-shirt
Remember a while back I was thinking about ordering a t-shirt from VistaPrint? I picked a design I liked, added my blog url, and changed the font just a little? Well, shortly after that I got an email with a whole list of items I could get free at VistaPrint. The t-shirt designs were limited, but the design I liked was one of the FREE ones. Convenient, huh? So I finally ordered it last week, along with some sticky notes and a pen. I chose the slow shipping, because it was the cheapest and I was in no hurry. But slow really isn't slow, because I got it today.I just have to say that I've never ordered from VistaPrint before, and I love that they offer free products because it gets people like me to actually order something and see for myself what a good job they do. Now that I've seen it - next time I need something printed, I'll be sure to think of VistaPrint.

Designing My Own Shirt
I wore my I ♥ NY shirt to the grocery store today. You know the one I mean - they're everywhere on the streets of New York, and everyone who has ever visited New York City probably has one. Well, actually Cory doesn't, but he did get a really cool hat at Nintendo World. Beside the point, I know. The point is, thousands of people are wearing these I ♥ NY shirts.
I wonder if whoever came up with the logo/design is rich? Don't you wish you could come up with some great design that everyone wants? Do You Send Holiday Cards?
I don't participate in all the big holidays it seems the rest of the world does. I don't keep Christmas - I know you're all aghast, but I do have my reasons, and it's not all about being cheap and being lazy. Still, I do wonder, how does anyone afford Christmas? I had to order it from a certain store because I had a rebate to send in, but I could have gotten it cheaper at some discount office supply stores if I hadn't had the rebate. Why Won't You Print?
I'm getting frustrated here. I'm trying to print a .pdf file from Adobe Reader. We have two printers that are on print servers, so everyone can use them, whether or not the downstairs computer is on. We have an old HP that we have set up as the default printer, because it can only have one ink cartridge in at a time and therefore only prints black. A couple years ago we found some $5 black ink cartridges for that printer at Target. We bought as many as they had - 4 or 5, I think. That makes for pretty cheap printing.
Anyway, for some reason, my computer does not like to play nice with that printer. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. I never know what it is going to do. Tonight I tried to print my .pdf file, and it didn't work. It told me to check to see if the printer was connected. So, I figured I'd print to the other printer. Nope - Adobe told me that before I can print, I must install a printer. It won't even let me choose the other printer. Now, if I want to print, I will have to shut my computer down, restart, and hope that fixes it - or send it to Jeffrey's computer! Yeah, I'm gonna try that.
Yay! That worked. I love the convenience of the network. I just would have liked to print this myself and save all the messing around I did trying to get around it and make it print.
