Zendaya has been great, too - and every single time she performs I am just amazed that she is only 16. I had a sixteen-year-old daughter once. I cannot imagine her putting in the work necessary to learn these dances or sticking with it when the going got hard. Make no mistake about it - being on this show is hard. If Zendaya wins, I'll be OK with it, because she is good. Very good.
But I still like Kellie.Last weekend, I was flipping through the channels on dish televsion/ . I came across a movie that was starting, so I ended up watching it. The movie was called, “the Raven”. It was a dark film about a man that comes back from the dead. The filming style reminded me of the movie “Sin City” or Gotham City on “Bat Man”. The weather was terrible and everything was dark. Anyway, I liked the movie, but it was not my favorite. I thought that I had remembered something bad about the movie, but I couldn’t remember what. I got on the internet and looked up the movies. What I thought that I remembered was actually true. The protaganist, played by Jason Lee, was actually shot during the making of the film. A bullet, that was thought to be a dummy bullet, hit him in the chest. It turns out it was a live bullet and he ended up dying from his injuries. That is really sad. It makes the movie that much more dark than it was before.
We finally went to satellitetvarlingtontx.com and got satellite TV. I have to tell you, I am so glad that we did. We have had some sweet evenings all curled up on the couch together watching TV. One of our favorite shows to watch as a family is 'Funniest Home Videos'. The videos are pretty funny, but what is even more hilarious is our four year old little boy that likes to reenact every single video. He will crack himself up doing all sorts of crazy stunts and it cracks us up to see him crack himself up! Kids are the best. He really does seem to get some crazy burst of energy when we watch that show. But he usually gets it all out and goes to bed really easily on those nights! I think that these will be the special moments that I remember of his childhood. I hope that he remembers it in a positive way also. I can picture him watching that show with his own kids someday! Who said family-time couldn't be spent watching TV?

Paula Deen is fun to watch with her southern charm and accent. She makes every recipe sound so easy to prepare even though I know that isn't always the case. The other day I was watching her show “Paula's Best Dishes” on my satellite tv from www.direct.tv. She was baking an Orange Coffee Cake. This really did look easy to prepare. Paula used a tube can of refrigerated biscuits. She cut the biscuits then placed them around the bottom of a round baking pan. Next, she brushed the biscuits with melted butter then sprinkled them with a mixture of minced walnuts, sugar, and orange zest. That was it! She then put the pan in the oven to bake for about 20 ! minutes. I even think I could handle making this. The hardest part was the glaze which was a combination of powdered sugar, cream cheese, and orange juice that was whipped until smooth and thin. Just drizzle this glaze over the warm cake and you are done. It's ready to eat. I put all of the ingredients on my shopping list for my next trip to the grocery store. With Paula's directions and these simple ingredients, I think I will be baking this delicious coffee cake next Saturday morning.
As I was pouring my coffee this morning, I heard this on Good Morning America, "Do you rely on coffee to get your day started?" And then, when I signed on to facebook, my friend Jenn (of My Kids Are My World) had posted, "I need some caffeine this morning....too bad I'm not a coffee drinker." That's when I knew I had to go check out GMA's Tip of the Day - 10 Healthy Ways to Get More Energy. I enjoy my morning coffee. I'm not sure if I rely on it, but it does help to have some alternatives.

The show doesn't air until January 28 at 8pm ET/7pm CT, but thanks to One2One Network, I got a chance to view the premiere episode “The Buddy System” in which Carli’s old flame from high school shows up hoping to re-ignite his “spark” with Carli — even if it means humiliating her in front of her new boss.The new series, CMT’s first scripted sitcom, follows Carli Mitchell (Melissa Peterman), a single mom from a rough and tumble background, trying to give her three kids a better life by moving them to an upscale suburb. She quickly finds that making the transition to “the good life” is harder than she thought. She's unwittingly befriended by her cranky neighbor, Hank (Ed Asner), her only “career” prospect is a glorified deli job at the local grocery store, and the man she falls for not only already has a girlfriend – but he’s also her boss, Rob (Patrick Fabian). With her ladies-man brother, Nick (Steve Kazee), to help her out (when he’s not acting like one of the kids himself), Carli faces the challenges of parenting, dating, and making friends in her new community by doing more with less, staying true to herself and approaching each day with a touch of working class.
