I like a lot of different kinds of music, but I do have to wonder about some of the stuff that is popular nowadays. Some of it isn't too bad, though, or at least worth another listen. One of the popular artists I never paid attention to is Lady Gaga. I just thought she was strange with all those weird outfits she insists on wearing, and what kind of name is Lady Gaga, anyway? OK, I paid attention at least that much, but I had never really heard any of her songs. Then when she performed on the Grammys with Elton John it hit me. He's had his share of crazy outfits and costumes, but he's also very talented, and I like his music. I have to wonder - are the crazy outfits just a way to keep some people away? At first glance you think, 'that's weird' and don't look any further? Or maybe it's just a way to stand out from the crowd and get some attention, which would be the total opposite.
Either way, since then I've heard a couple of her songs on the radio, and they weren't horrible. I usually use my mp4 mp3 players to listen to books, but Cory says he has some Lady Gaga songs I can put on mine so I can listen to them and see if I might like them. If I don't I can always go back to the books, or listen to my girl P!nk.
