For Zits and Dandruff

I jotted down a couple tips from the Dr. Oz Show today that I thought might be handy to remember.
  1. Use eye drops to hide zits.  The eye drops won't really take them away, but they will reduce the redness, the same way they reduce redness in your eyes.  Simply moisten a Q-Tip with they eye drops and apply to the zit.  Wait a few minutes, and the redness will go away.  It may not be the best acne treatment, but I think it's definitely worth a try - both for my teenage son, and for me.
  2. Use aspirin to control dandruff.  Crush some aspirin, and mix it into your shampoo.  Wash your hair as usual, leaving it in for a couple minutes, and it's supposed to help.  Why? Aspirin is a type of salicylic acid, and salicylic acid is an active ingredient in some anti-dandruff treatments.
I'd never heard either of those.  Had you?

    1. Didn't a young friend of mine rub vinegar into his hair before he washed it a long time ago???
