Magnetic Copper Bracelet from Earth Therapy

I've been wearing this Pure Copper Magnetic Bracelet pretty much all the time for a couple of months now.  I've heard good things about the benefits of copper and magnets - being an Effective Natural, Non Invasive, Pain Relief Aid for Arthritis, RSI, Carpal Tunnel, Migraines, and Fatigue.  This bracelet combines the two, being made from the Best Quality Solid Copper and including 6 Powerful Therapeutic Magnets, along with being sleek and stylish.

This bracelet is a medium Size (6.5") and adjusts to fit most sized wrists.  I have quite small wrists, so I have to squeeze it together until the ends almost meet.  It then fits securely with the magnets against my wrist, but it is loose enough to push up my arm when I'm trying to work.  I usually only take it off when I go out in the sun, since it's been summer, so I don't have a copper-bracelet-sized line on my arm.  And then I put it on again.  So far it seems to be holding up really well with all the squeezing and loosening of putting it on and taking it off.

I can't say for certain what the benefits of wearing this bracelet have been, but I have had some pain in my right shoulder for a while now.  I was trying to help Jeffrey carry parts of The Coolest Garden Ever, which he built in front of the house, and then they had to be carried to the back yard, and I ended up hurting my shoulder.  Thankfully a very nice young man lives next door, and he helped Jeffrey carry the majority of the garden sides to the back yard.  Anyway, my shoulder does still bother me occasionally, but I have noticed that it's usually on those evenings when I have taken the bracelet off and not yet put it back on.  So, I'm going to believe that it's helping, and I would certainly rather use something natural like this than even think about pain killers or drugs or anything like that.

I noticed that several reviewers (on Amazon) mentioned that the magnets in their bracelets fell out after just a few days, but like I said, I've been wearing this for a couple months, and I haven't had any problem with the magnets.  They're all right where they belong.  The bracelet is starting to look a little scratched up, because I do wear it all the time.  While I like the smooth look of this particular style, I think I'd go for one with a braided or designed look, like this Mens Heavyweight Pure Copper Magnetic Bracelet (which I really wanted to order, but I knew it would be too big for my wrist), if I were to order another one.  I think that would hide the wear better.

The bracelet comes with the Magnetic Therapy eBook "Heal Your Pain Through Magnetic Therapy" by Dr Tulsi Dabhi along with a RISK FREE. 60 Day Earth Therapy Full Satisfaction Money Back Guarantee and a 1 Year Product Warranty.  There are several other styles and sizes available.  Be sure to scroll down to the Special Offers and Promotions section to see how you can save when you buy two or more Earth Therapy products.

Disclosure: I received a Magnetic Copper Bracelet from Earth Therapy in exchange for my review.  All opinions are 100% mine.

Priorities

Engagement RingImage by Justin Liew via Flickr
A few weeks ago Beth was trying to decide where to buy a crib and how much to spend.  They've pretty much got everything else covered, but they do need to get a crib.  I'm not sure if she got distracted looking at the ads or what, but Beth mentioned something about Tim buying her an engagement ring.

Yeah, that might be nice, but we had to remind her that, now that a baby is on the way, things like everlon diamonds, engagement rings, and other unnecessary items will just have to wait.  Ideally, they would have gotten engaged and married and then had a baby, but that's not what they did.  Now their priorities have to shift.  Now they have to concentrate on preparing for and providing for a baby.

Maybe someday she'll get her engagement ring.  In the meantime, she has a nice ring that used to belong to Tim's mom.

Sweet Hearts for Your Sweetheart

When it comes to getting gifts for special days, most girls love jewelry.  Flowers and chocolate are pretty popular, too.  Some girls are different, but guys can usually be safe choosing one of those three things.

So listen up, guys. If you really want to show that special lady how much she means to you, you might want to check out some Sweet Heart Jewelry for Your Sweetheart. Nothing says 'love' like heart-shaped jewelry.  Except maybe saving some money on that heart-shaped jewelry - so you can buy the flowers and chocolate too! (or pay the bills, even though that is not romantic at all in the traditional sense of the word)  Right now there are some sweet deals going on.  How does saving up to 75% sound?  I love a man who uses money wisely!  OK, I loved him before, but I love that he looks for the good deals now and understands the importance of coupons.  He also knows that there are very few things that I will love enough to spend full price on.

If your sweetie thinks that the amount you spend is directly proportional to the amount of love you have for her, you don't have to tell her you saved with these diViene deals. Or I suppose you could just buy 4 times as much jewelry and make her really happy.

Easy T-Shirt Necklace

I saw this tutorial for making a necklace from old t-shirts a while back.  Actually, I think one of my facebook friends shared it.  Now, honestly, I'm not a crafty person at all, but this project looks kind of fun - and like something even I could do.  I'm sure I have some old t-shirts around here somewhere...

Doesn't that look cool? Just click the picture to get instructions on how to make one for yourself.  Basically you just cut 1" strips from the bottom of your old t-shirts, stretch the strips, lay them together and twist into a figure-8 to double the rings, bind them all together with an extra strip, and wear.  That does sound easy, doesn't it?

Will I ever get around to actually making one?  I don't know, but I'm sharing this with my mother-in-law who is very crafty - she's always making neat things - and I'm sure she'll be able to make some of these.  Maybe she'll even make me one?

Now, there was another craft I was going to share with her.  What was it, where was it?

Gift Ideas for Mom

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Bliss Living. All opinions are 100% mine.

Mother's Day is May 9 this year. That's only three weeks away.  What that means is that it's threatening to sneak up on me again, and I better start thinking about getting a card or something for my wonderful mom.

How about you?  Have you planned for Mother's Day yet?  If you're looking for a really nice gift for Mom, you'll want to check out Bliss Living Jewelry. They have a huge collection of mothers necklaces, mothers bracelets and stretch rings that would make the perfect gift for mom anytime of the year. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and custom made with her children's names and birthdates hand-inscribed onto the charms.

I really like the necklaces with the custom inscribed charms.  You can order a charm for each child, with first names on the front and birthdates on the back.   I particularly like this necklace pictured here because of the delicate look, and the crystal birthstone beads on each charm.  But then, the more I look, the more I find others that I really like, too.  There are several styles to choose from - round charms, rectangular charms, Sterling silver, or gold, so chances are you'll find something Mom will like.

Shipping is free on orders over $99 with coupon code FREESHIP, and if you want guaranteed delivery by Mother's Day, you need to order by 4/21/10.

Lost and Found

Beth told me today that she lost her cell phone.  Yesterday.  Apparently she went to Cousin's, and it must have fallen out of her coat pocket when she got in the car, and she didn't notice it was missing until later.  She went back to Cousin's but didn't find it.  Because someone else had already found it, and she started calling some of the recently called numbers on Beth's phone to find out who it belonged to and figure out how to get it back to her.  She ended up calling Marshall's and arranging to bring the phone in to Beth at work.  So, Beth lost the phone yesterday and got it back today - she really lucked out!  It's encouraging to know that there are still people out there who do the right thing

Then, when I was telling this story to Jeffrey he said, "I never told you what I did."  "When?"  "A couple weeks ago."

Then he proceeds to tell me that a couple weeks ago he went on a tour of the plant, where he is not allowed to wear jewelry.  So, he took his watch and wedding ring off and put them in his pocket.  Midway through the tour, he pulled his watch from his pocket to check the time, so he wouldn't be late for a conference call he had to be on.  Then, about 2 minutes before he had to leave to join his call, he pulled his watch from his pocket to put it back on and realized he had lost his wedding ring.  It had fallen out of his pocket when he checked the time.  He didn't have much time to look and he didn't find it.  But he did let people who work in the plant know that he'd lost it and asked them to keep an eye out - and they found it.  So, I guess he lucked out, too.  I wonder if he was ever going to tell me?  I told him when I lost mine at work that one time...

Where'd They Get That Bling?

Have you ever looked at Rap and Hip Hop stars and wondered where they get all that bling? Seriously, it's not like you can find it at the jewelry counter of your neighborhood Kmart. Well, I just found out. Part of the reason I love paid posts is that I find out all kinds of interesting things!

There's a website called HipHopBling.com where you can get all kinds of Hip Hop Jewelry. They've got jewelry from $10 all the way up to the really expensive stuff - diamonds. Belt buckles, bracelets, chains, over 150 styles of Grillz - if you've got a little hip hop wannabe in your house, this is the site for bling. Many of the popular bling trends have even started here.

I'm a little curious about some of this stuff, so I think I'm going to browse around for a while.

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

78Image by giuss95
via Flickr

When I ask him if he loves me, my husband likes to joke that he told me that he did once and he hasn't told me any different. I guess until I hear different I just get to assume that he still loves me?

It really is just a joke, because he tells me all the time that he loves me, but from everything I've heard, it's sometimes hard for guys to say "I love you" or to know how to say it. When is it the right time to buy flowers or jewelry? Will she read too much significance into it? Will she wonder what you did wrong? And what worked last time won't necessarily work this time. It's tough being a guy, isn't it?

That's why Bella True has put together a great site to help guys know what jewelry to buy when, from the beginning of a relationship all the way through engagement, marriage and the 75th anniversary. With a guide like this, guys ought to be able to let that special lady know that he really does love her, even if he doesn't say so all that often.

Honey? I'm loving this heart necklace.

Your (old) Jewelry Could be Worth a Lot

I'm sure you've heard that the price for gold is really high right now, and lots of people are selling their old jewelry and getting lots of money. It makes you want to search your jewelry boxes for some jewelry you're not wearing anymore just to see how much you can get for it. I haven't actually done that, but I trying to remember if I have any old jewelry I could turn in for cash. I know I have a necklace that broke years ago, and I'm never going to get it fixed. I wonder how much that would be worth?

I just requested my free kit from Cash4Gold to see if I can get some of that Cash for Jewelry. It says that the price they'll pay is based on weight and karat grade, and my necklace is pretty thin, so I'm not so sure it'll be worth much. I might pull out some of my old, tarnished Mexican silver necklaces, too. Hopefully those Mexican vendors weren't lying to me when they told me it was real silver.

Do you have any old jewelry sitting around that might get you some money? With Cash4Gold, you're selling directly to the refiner, so there's no middleman. They pay the highest prices, you can have the cash in hand within 24 hours, and they have a 100% guarantee. I'm not spending my money before I get it, but I figure it's worth a look, and they're sending the kit for free. It's even postage-paid and insured.

Quality Pearls at Wholesale Prices

I didn't have a pearl necklace when I got married. Instead I had a very pretty necklace and matching earrings that a friend of the family made just for me. It was more 'me' at the time, and I probably wouldn't have wanted pearls anyway. They would have just seemed too 'traditional' to me, if I had thought of them at all.

Now I've matured a little. It has been a few years, after all. I've started to like pearls. They are really pretty and extremely classy, and they come in so many different colors and types. My idea of pearls was always that traditional strand of white pearls, like the Japanese Akoya saltwater pearls, but I'm not quite ready for that level of traditional. Tahitian black pearls are the ones I like. I love black, but they also come in aubergine, eggplant, peacock, silver, purple, pistachio, and more. They're out of my price range, even at the Pearl Outlet where you can get quality pearls at wholesale prices, but they are absolutely gorgeous.

I do have one pearl necklace, and it's made of black freshwater pearls. The pearls are really pretty, and even though they're considered black, you can see all kinds of other colors in there. They'll pick up the colors of your clothes and look good with everything, or nothing, but this is a family blog so we won't talk about that now. I will say that freshwater pearls are more in my price range and perfectly gorgeous in their own right.

If you've got someone special in your life who would appreciate a nice pearl necklace, earrings, or bracelet, check out Pearl Outlet. Why pay more when you can get quality Pearls at up to 80% off retail? You don't have to tell what a great deal you got.

Another Giveaway

I found this giveaway today on Pink Lemonade of Life. Liz is giving away three beautiful bracelets from Finders Keepers. Beth was going through my old jewelry last week and found my old bracelets. Remember those cheap plastic bangles in lots of colors? That's what I wore, so I think it's way past time to update my jewelry, don't you? At least I didn't wear ball lock pins as jewelry, but still, the time for plastic bangles is long past. I have to hold on to them, though, because everything comes back into style, right?

Nowadays I don't wear much jewelry at all, but if I win these bracelets, I'd be willing to change. They are really nice!

Do You Like This Movado?

Practically every time we're in a store together, Jeffrey wants me to look at watches with him. Do I like this one? Do I like that one? I must admit that a lot of times I don't like the ones he likes. So he keeps looking.

Maybe I'll surprise him by linking him to these Movado watches at TheWatchery.com, and I'll ask him which ones he likes. He'll be surprised because I don't usually pay any attention to watches. I own a couple, but I never wear them, and the batteries are dead. When I'm at home, I have clocks on the wall, and when I go out, I take my cell phone. Who needs a watch? Jeffrey and Cory, I guess. Neither one of them likes to leave the house without his watch, and Jeffrey wears his all the time, just taking it off to go to bed. He tells me that's normal.

I suppose his watch isn't just for telling time. It's an accessory. It's jewelry, and a reflection of who he is. There are some pretty nice looking Movado watches at TheWatchery.com, at significant savings off the list price. They also give you a free watch with purchase and free shipping. I'm having a hard time figuring out which one(s) I like best.

I can just see it now - we won't even have to leave home. Jeffrey will be sitting in his chair, looking at watches on his laptop and asking me which one I like. He's already doing it with motorcycles and computers. Why not watches? He may just find the one, or actually the two, since he'd get a free one, too.

Fancy Jewelry

I was so excited to receive a strand of freshwater pearls from PearlParadise.com in the mail a few days ago. I've never had real pearls. One look at these gorgeous black pearls, and I was in love. Of course I had to show Cory, and do the Pretty Woman snap the box shut thing. I never even had jewelry that came in a fancy box like that.So I've been wearing the pearls around the house, wondering why I never had pearls before. Now I remember - I always thought they were too expensive to even consider, but browsing the PearlParadise.com site, I realize they come in a wide range of prices. And yes, they can be expensive, but Pearl Paradise sells them at significant savings over traditional retail. If you want to buy pearls, this looks like the place to do it.

There's also a lot of information on the site about how pearls are formed, the difference between natural and cultured pearls, how to choose pearl size and necklace length, and how to take care of your pearls once you have them.

Thank you so much Pearl Paradise! I love muscles - mussels - pearls!

Show Your Mom Colors

I've seen these message bracelets all over the place. People wear them to show the causes they support, who they are and what's important to them. The Teen Library Council even sells some at the library that say "I Read" in multiple languages. I was thinking about buying one of those because I do read. However, blogging has kind of taken over my reading time. Has that happened to anyone else? I need one that says, "I'd love to find time to read" but that's probably too much to put on a little bracelet.

Today I found out there is the perfect bracelet. It says, "Mom Blogger" and it's available from Mom Colors. Along with the Mom Blogger bracelet, there is the Frugal Mom bracelet (yep, that one is me, too), the Green Mom bracelet, and the I ♥ Being a Mom bracelet. More Mom Messages are planned, and you can sign up for the newsletter to be notified when the new ones come out.

Luxury for Less

Jeffrey always gives me a hard time because I don't wear a watch. He and Cory don't leave the house without theirs. Or, if they do, they feel very lost. Me, when I leave the house, I usually take my cell phone. There's a clock in that.

Neither one of my guys wears luxury watches, but Jeffrey is always looking for a nice watch when we're out. He's always asking my opinion, but I have a hard time knowing. I may just have to browse  TheWatchery.com and get an idea about what watches I like and don't like - and compare those with what Jeffrey likes.

The Watchery sells luxury watches at a fraction of the cost you can get them elsewhere because they buy them in large quantities and have a very low markup. Also, for every watch you buy, you can get another one free. It looks like you get to choose a free watch up to a certain MSRP determined by your purchase price. If you don't like any of the free watches, you can choose a watch from a large selection at 80% off instead.

If you're looking for designer watches, you'll want to visit theWatchery.com. They carry Harry Winston, Cartier, Citizen, and Tag watches, as well as a lot of brands I haven't heard of. I'm sure people who are familiar with luxury watches will appreciate the savings.

For the Fashion Conscious Man

Jeffrey has a pair of cufflinks he always liked. I never really paid that much attention. In fact, I can't even tell you what they look like. I'm going to claim that it's because he hasn't worn them in quite a while, and I don't think they are as nice as these Modern Cufflinks at Tateossian. There are all kinds of great designs here, from classic to modern, with some novelty and animal designs, too. I admit, the frog cufflinks caught my eye, but Jeffrey wouldn't be interested in those. He'd rather have something nautical.

Besides cufflinks, Tateossian also sells watches, jewelry, and accessories for men and some jewelry for women, too. I really like the looks of the men's leather and silver bracelets and some of the silver rings.

Tateossian has built a reputation as one of the world's leading jewelry and accessories brands. So, if you're looking for something distinctive, that reflects current fashion trends, something contemporary, fashion-forward, but timeless, check out Tateossian.

Looking at Some Jewelry

If you're like me, every time you walk by the jewelry counter or a jewelry store in the mall, you just have to stop and look at the diamond rings, or in my case, usually the ruby rings. You never know, I might find something I just have to have. Now, with the Internet, I don't even have to leave the comfort of my couch to look at jewelry. J.R. Dunn Jewelers is a leading online jewelry retailer offering some of the finest jewelry available. I think most of their stuff is out of my price range, but I certainly had fun browsing their Gifts for Women. I can dream, right? I found this heart necklace that reminds me of one I used to have - only mine wasn't real gold and has long since tarnished and passed out of my life.

Should I decide to buy it, I can be sure I got a good deal because J.R. Dunn offers a Price Promise that says:
JR Dunn wants to assure you of the best price possible. If you are able to find one of our "price promise items" at a lower price from an authorized jeweler, JR Dunn will match the price at 110% of the difference!
You know how I like getting the best deal possible, no matter what I am buying!

Ring Sizing

Beth woke up this morning and said her ring was too tight. The guy at the jewelry store didn't take into account the fact that we were in a very air conditioned, very cold mall. So, any time she's somewhere that's a normal temperature, the ring will be too tight? I hope not, but we do have the 3 year protection plan. That's supposed to include one free re-sizing. I don't think that includes the first sizing. We'll just have to see how the ring's going to fit. My fingers are usually kind of swollen first thing in the morning, so maybe that's all it is and she'll just have to take the ring off before bed. Better not to have it so loose that it flies off when your fingers are cold. That happened with my wedding ring once. I gestured with my hand, the ring went flying, and we looked and looked before finally finding it. I was at work at Kohl's - in the air conditioning. I didn't fling my hand around so wildly after that.

I also lost a thumb ring once. I bought it at the fair, when my hands were hot and kind of swollen. I didn't think about that, just bought the ring to fit. Afterwards it was always kind of loose, but I was usually aware of it in some part of my mind so it didn't slip off. Until one day I was helping Jeffrey out in the yard. Somewhere along the line, somewhere in the yard probably, it slipped off, never to be seen again.
