Have you heard that Pepsi is offering a taste of the past? For 8 weeks only, starting April 20th, Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback will be available nationwide. These products, inspired by the 60's and 70's, are sweetened with natural sugar (instead of the usual high fructose corn syrup) and come in 20-oz retro designed single-serve bottles and 12-pack cans. I really love the look of those Pepsi cans! Look for them in your local store.

I've tried the Pepsi Throwback and I like it it doesn't taste like it has a lot of sugar....
ReplyDeletepattifritz2000@yahoo.com
I had many favorites, like my mickey mouse school bus and partridge family. But my favorite is still my 'welcome back, kotter' one. I still have it and the partridge family one. My kids had cool star wars ones. Of course, as I hit middle school these were replaced by the ever more cool paper bag. :(
ReplyDeleteOkay, I found the Throwback Pepsi yesterday and bought 15 12pks. I really like the taste. Will buy more before its gone.
ReplyDeleteluckydolls123[at]verizon[dot]net
my lunch box has gizmo on it in a pink car and a song that brings back memories is My Girl since my sister and I always would sing it together growing up.
ReplyDeleteagirlw@hotmail.com
I wasn't allowed to take my lunch to school. My mom wouldn't let me. I know, right?
ReplyDeleteBut if I could have had a little lunch box, and believe me I dreamed about it all the time, it would have been snoopy.
I would have taken tuna sandwiches and ham sandwiches with fruit and celery. I would have alawys tried to take something sweet, too. Maybe even lots of sweets. Maybe that is why I could not take a lunch box. My mom always said she wanted me to eat a hot lunch. She didn't have to eat school lunches, that's why!
I followed your blog.

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Have I tried Pepsi Throwback???
ReplyDeleteLOOK at this:
http://ifyoucouldseewhatisee.blogspot.com/2009/05/catch-that-pepsi-feeling.html
Seriously... look at it.
It doesn't have the odd aftertaste Pepsi with HFCS has. Hooray for Throwback! I wish they would keep it out forever.
My lunchbox was sadly plastic and had the Muppet Babies on it. My friend had a Knight Rider lunchbox that was so very awesome. My mom would freeze 7up in a tiny cup with a top, so I'd have slightly-melted 7up slushy for lunch. Unfortunately, I'd also wind up with a soggy sandwich coz of it.
ReplyDeleteI had a pink, plastic Strawberry shortcake lunchbox and I always had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a chocolate milk, and a fruit roll up. Maybe some cookies if I was good the night before!

ReplyDeleteTwincere(at)hotmail(dot)com
The lunchbok I remember taking to school had a purple swirly design. That's all I can remember. I used to take peanut butter & honey sandwiches, my mom's homemade peanut butter cookies and chips. Thank you for the entry.

I had a strawberry shortcake lunchbox. It was cute.
ReplyDeleteI never got the chance to carry a lunch box because I went to a Catholic Private school and was at the mercy of the Nuns who did all of the cooking :) My favorite music was from the Bee Gees and favorite song of all time was a one hit wonder from Soft Cell- Tainted Love
ReplyDeleteI had a Bonanza lunchbox and my favorite lunch was peanut butter and honey sandwiches. I saw my old lunchbox recently....at my brother's house! He says it was his!

My lunchbox was "Hot Wheels". My favorite lunch was bologna sandwiches and carrot sticks filled with peanut butter.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have tried the Pepsi and Mt. Dew Throwback! They are awesome! I can't believe I can remember the taste from so many years ago. But as soon as the stuff touched my tongue I instantly remembered. OK, I need a life :-)
ReplyDeleteMy first lunchbox was Hong Kong Phooey. I loved it until the plastic handle broke. Then I got a Peanuts lunch box, and had it until it was no longer "cool" to carry one.
ReplyDeletespitfyr323 at hotmail dot com
I tried Pepsi Throwback and found that it's WAY too sweet for me. I don't know how I liked it when I was a kid, or how I never had cavities. YIKES!

Why didn't I see this sooner? My lunchbox was Hair Bear Bunch. Hmmm... music on the bus... seems it was classic 70's rock, though I was a Disco girl! Now, my girls know all the words to most of the country songs!
ReplyDeleteI brownbagged it with sandwiches on Wonder bread.
ReplyDeleteI remember when "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" came out, and I used to sing it at the top of my lungs with my aunt who was only a year older than me.
