While visiting Camera Critters posts at the beginning of January, I noticed several tigers. Apparently 2010 is the Year of the Tiger by the Chinese calendar. I thought I’d missed a great opportunity to share some of the tiger pictures I took at the zoo this last summer, but then when I went looking for information on the Chinese calendar I found out that the First Day of the Year of the Tiger falls on 2/14/2010. So, I thought I’d post a tiger picture or two to welcome the Year of the Tiger (formal name Geng Yin).
Isn’t he gorgeous? I didn’t really need an excuse to post these, did I? I took them at the zoo when we went in September.
