Looking at the Sky on Friday - 44

Photobucket

I’m so glad there’s a meme like Looking at the Sky on Friday, because it means all the time I spend looking at the sky, and taking pictures of it, has a purpose! Click the badge for more info.

At the risk of seeming to repeat myself, I’m posting the moon again.

I'm just a sucker for a full moon! If someone tells me the moon is coming up and looking exceptionally bright and gorgeous, I'll ignore the white lcd tv to run outside and try to get some shots.  This last week the moon was supposed to be extra big and extra bright, so of course I had to try and capture it.  Next week I’ll try to post something different.  Maybe.

If you enjoy skies as much as I do, be sure to check out Looking at the Sky on Friday.

  1. It's so beautiful. :) I wish I could get a decent shot of the night time moon, it just has never happened. I think I'm too impatient. *LOL*

Thanks for playing along. Have a great weekend!

  2. It would help if I used a tripod, because it's hard to hold still when zooming that far. I usually hold my breath - and take a whole bunch of pics hoping for some decent ones. I just can't resist.

  6. The moon is always a wonderful subject - the full moon so glowing, we look in awe. The tripod may be useful, but with a moon this bright, we don't have to use a the perfect setting that requires a tripod. just set the camera at a shutter opening that wont blur, and fire away. Nice capture!

  7. What an amazing shot of the moon. I have yet to get a good one. But then again I need a better camera.

    I'm up too...come on over!
