Get Them Clean!

I wash dishes. I know it takes a certain amount of time to wash those dishes and to get those dishes clean. I don't really mind doing dishes, but I don't want to spend all my time doing dishes, so I wash them as fast as I can. Still, it takes a while. Tonight Beth had to do dishes. There was quite a stack - the counter was full, and there was not room for anything else. Ten minutes later and she is supposedly finished. Yeah. Riiight. And the dish water? Nasty. No soap. What was supposedly getting the dirt and grease off of those dishes?

Of course, when I mention to her that it takes a certain amount of time to wash those dishes, and 10 minutes is not long enough, she gets all uppity. Maybe it takes me a certain amount of time, but that doesn't mean it takes her that much time. Yeah, that explains why she rarely gets them clean the first time. Sometimes I just want to throttle her. What is the point of doing them, if you're not going to do them right? Do you really want to do them more than once?

I really don't know how many were dirty this time because I came downstairs before Cory dried them and checked them over. Just, please - these are dishes. We have to eat off them.
