She's all Fixed

Beth had her follow-up exam today from her heart surgery. She was actually supposed to go back 8 weeks after the surgery, but it was hard working it into her work schedule and the doctor's schedule. It's amazing that it was so easy to get the actual procedure scheduled before the end of the year!

Anyway, before the procedure she was having episodes with her heart 2 or 3 times a week. Since the surgery, she hasn't had any problems. It doesn't sound like there was much to the exam, but she's officially fixed and won't have to worry about her heart speeding up like that any more.

The bills have been coming in, and I just have to say that I'm really glad we have insurance. The last one started out at around $40,000, and we have to pay about $400. It's all worth it so that Beth doesn't have to worry about that any more.

  9. I was just lecturing hubs this morning to watch his caffeine intake because it seems to trigger the episodes for him.

So glad to hear that Beth is recovered!
