Looking at the list, I feel like I should have read more. That might be because I have friends whose book lists are a lot longer. However, when I read that 1 in 4 U.S. adults read no books last year and 80% of U.S. families did not buy or read a book last year, I don't feel so bad. I feel bad for them - how in the world can anyone can survive without reading?
I'm already working on the 2009 book list, again keeping track of it on Facebook. They've added a new feature that lets me add tags to my books, so I'm tagging books with the month when I finish them. That will help me keep track of them even better. If you have any book suggestions for my list, you can leave me a comment or 'chuck' them at me on Facebook.
Glad you enjoyed Spanking Shakespeare!
ReplyDeleteKira - Yes, I really enjoyed it. I laughed out loud so many times throughout the book.
ReplyDeleteI love to read the titles of the books you read in 2008. I am an avid reader and Spanking Shakespeare sounds good. I have started keepng a list of the books I read in 2009. I love all of Jan Karon's books.I also enjoy her website at www.mitfordbooks.com. Her website tells about her life, her books and gives updates on her next books that she is writing. I think you will enjoy the site!
ReplyDeleteI really need to check out this Facebook app! Maybe it would help motivate me to read again. I LOVE to read and have an over-full bookshelf, but I spend all my waking time on the computer and don't read for enjoyment anymore.
