Now We Need a New Comforter

We took the curtains in our bedroom down before the new windows were installed, and we decided it was a good time to get rid of them.  I liked them when we got them.  They weren't exactly what I wanted, but then I didn't know exactly what I wanted. I found them on clearance, and the color was right, so we put them up and didn't really give them much thought since.  Until now.

Since they were down, we went looking for new ones and found some we like better.  The only problem is that they're a different color green.  A nicer color green, actually, but now the comforter doesn't go with the curtains.  And, come to think of it, I don't really like the comforter all that much any more!  I guess that means I need to start looking at comforters and bedspreads to find something I like now, and that goes with my new curtains.  I'm not sure exactly what I want, but I'm sure I'll know it when I see it, because that's the way I work.

We got new brown curtains for Cory's room, and they go with his comforter really well, so I think we're good there.  He's got a really nice comforter - a birthday present from a good friend and sometimes mom - and he doesn't really live at home any more, so I'm not planning on shopping for new bedspreads for him or for his sister who doesn't live here either.  Her room did have blue and orange Illini colors painted on the wall, but now it's all white - Illini white, but still all white.  The bright orange Illini comforter is still just fine in there.  We put the blue curtains that were in Cory's room in there, and they look pretty good.

So somebody just remind me, when I'm looking at new bedspreads - they are not for the kids.  They are for my bed, and Jeffrey's.
