There's all kinds of buzz on the Internet about whether this 'supermoon' will cause earthquakes and all kinds of natural disasters. Science seems to say no or that the effect on the earth will be minor and have no significant increase over the normal influence the moon has on the Earth's tides, so I'm thinking we don't really have to worry about it.
The thing I'm worried about is forgetting to go look at it. I love looking at the moon, and I just want to see if it looks bigger than normal, and probably take some pictures, too. I know you're all going to want to get out your telescopes and cameras or just get outside and get a good look at the 'supermoon' on Saturday night. So mark it on your calendars and don't forget. And could somebody be sure to remind me?
Supposed to be raining here :-(
ReplyDeleteAren't you going to be at a hockey game??!?!?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, hockey. Somebody should've reminded me of this moon before I told Jeffrey I'd go to a hockey game with him. But we do get the good seats, and probably food. I wonder if the Bradley Center has an Eastern window I could peak out?
