December 1st = SNOW!

You've Got to be Kidding

Last year on December 1st, it snowed. It started sometime overnight and then snowed all day. I got up early and shoveled Jeffrey's side of the driveway, because he always goes to work, no matter what the weather. The kids didn't have school because of the snow, so when it finally quit snowing sometime in the afternoon, Cory and I went out and shoveled the driveway - so Jeffrey could get back into the driveway and the garage after work. I shoveled Jeffrey's side of the driveway again, and it wasn't quite as deep as the other side, but there was still a lot of snow. I finished my side first, and Cory tried to talk me into helping him with his side, but I didn't do it.

Today, December 1st - it snowed again. But I haven't been out to see how much there is. Not as much as last year, but sometime in the afternoon it turned to sleet, so everything is iced over. I'm just happy not to have to go anywhere. Hopefully the weather and roads will be cleaned up by tomorrow afternoon when Beth has to go to work. I know she's a good driver, but I still worry.

In honor of winter and snow and all that good white stuff, I added some snowmen on the left. I stole them from Jaye's blog.

  1. I wish it would snow here - it's so rare now to get any at all, although last year we had a couple of white days..

Still, plenty of time to go before spring!

  3. Poor poor Cory - couldn't convince Mom to help him shovel his side ;-)

Love the snowmen, they're really cute.
