My Exercise Program

My washer and dryer are in the basement. That means that on Mondays (or in this case Tuesdays) - well, on laundry days - I run up and down the stairs multiple times. I figure it's a good exercise program.

Even when I'm not doing laundry, I'm up and down those stairs multiple times a day. The laundry room also doubles as a second pantry. All the food that doesn't fit in the kitchen pantry goes down there, and there's a refrigerator, and my chest freezer is down there in the back room. One time I was making pancakes, or something, when I realized I needed more flour, so I ran down and got the bag of flour. After I made it back upstairs to the kitchen, I realized that I needed eggs, which were in the refrigerator downstairs - so back down to get eggs - only to realize, once I made it back to the kitchen, that I needed something else that was down there - milk, sugar, something.

Who needs bodybuilding supplements anyway? I've got a serious exercise program going here, combined with walking 2 miles every morning.


  1. I would love to have a "story" house up OR down either one.

  2. hehe we go to the same gym! I call my laundry days gym days because I haul it all down 2 flights of stairs, and then up 1 flight to get to the machines and reverse to get it back home! :-0
