Give Me Five Monday - Amusement Rides

Becca over at Becca's Buzz has started a new meme. Here's what it's all about:

The 'Give Me Five' Monday meme is designed to share fun information with each other in a simple short list! Here's how it works. Each week, I will put out a random topic from my list of topics and you share 5 answers of your choice on the given topic and link back here! You can add photos, links or stories or just a simple list of your own of 5 things that relate to the topic as it pertains to you and your life experiences. It doesn't have to be in any order of importance unless otherwise specified.

This week's Give Me Five is Favorite Amusement Rides.

It's been a while since I've been to an amusement park, so I'll try!
  1. Batman, the Ride - Jeffrey and I went to Six Flags in St. Louis one very hot summer day. Toward the end of the day, the park started clearing out because it was just so hot. We ended up riding Batman several times in a row. As soon as we got off, we would walk straight through the line again and get back on the ride. There was no waiting at all - unless we wanted to be in the very front, which is the very best. Then we had to wait for the ride to run a time or two before we got on again. I wish all amusement rides worked like that.
  2. Black Anaconda - at Noah's Ark Water Park in Wisconsin Dells. America's longest water coaster.
  3. Dark Voyage - another great water ride at Noah's Ark. Twists and turns, all in the dark.
  4. American Eagle - roller coaster at Six Flags Great America
  5. Iron Wolf - another roller coaster at Great America
Yes, obviously, I only like the thrill rides. Looking these up, I realized that it really has been a while since we've been to Six Flags, and they've got some new rides we haven't tried yet. I think we better get down there next summer!

I know it's late, but it is still Monday, so go check out other Give Me Five participants.

  1. All I can manage is the ``baby'' carousels.

    Anything else makesme turn green!

  2. Hey, this is a great list! I don't care if it's 11:59 pm, join in, baby! Thanks for participating and linking back to the original post. I haven't been in a few years...gained too much weight. But I am working on it now. I want to be a-ok by next summer!

You talked about no waiting in the lines...I have a friend who's company reserves Hershey Park in PA once a year and there aren't as many visitors....anyway, most times we didn't even have to get off the ride! We'd come back into the house and no one was waiting to get on, so we just took off again!!! I loved it...everyone should get this privilege some day! :-)

  3. These sound fun... I love the Batman ride too!

I love your comments! Keep them coming.
