Can Breast Cancer be Treated with Stem Cells?

There's quite a bit of controversy over stem cell research. While stem cells seem to offer hope in Treating Diseases of all kinds, people don't like the idea of stem cells coming from unborn, unwanted babies. I admit, I don't like that either, but I look at it kind of like organ donation. If those babies are not going to be allowed to develop and be born anyway, maybe at least some good can come from it. To specifically create embryos for stem cell research is a whole other issue.

Now they have announced a research partnership with the National Institutes of Health to research the potential treatment of breast cancer using stem cells collected from menstrual blood. They will be conducting an exploratory study to determine if stem cells collected from menstrual blood can be used in the potential treatment of breast cancer.
