I got a call this evening, from a county sheriff. She just wanted me to know that she had given my daughter a speeding citation. Beth was driving 60mph in a 45mph zone and got pulled over.
So now, on top of paying for gas and insurance, she's got a ticket to pay for. And her hours at work have been cut down this week.
What's interesting is that if the police talk to anyone under 18, they have to tell their parents. But those kids in Maine (and probably elsewhere) can get birth control, and no one has to tell their parents.
