Web Design Information

I started years ago to teach myself to create web pages. I went online and found some basic html tutorials, printed them out, and started building web pages. It wasn't until years later that I realized that I hadn't been doing things quite right. Who knew that just because a page looked good on my computer, that didn't mean it would look good on someone else's computer? Who knew that simply sizing a picture down on the page did not make the actual file smaller, and the page would still take as long to load as if I left the picture at full size? Not me, but I learned, eventually, and I'm still learning.

I know there is so much about web design that I still don't know, and that's why I'm always on the lookout for tips and resources. I just came across this web design blogger at Stylish Design. On this blog, the author Robert shares anything and everything about web design and stuff related to web design. Browsing through the site, I see information about search engine optimization, which I still don't understand, so I'm hoping he has some tips I can use here. Keywords, descriptions, meta tags? Once more, things I did not know anything about until recently, and I still don't really understand what the search engines are actually looking at. There's also information about web design and helpful tools to use in designing your web pages.

The blog is fairly new, so there are only about 30 posts, but Robert is off to a good start, and I think it will be worth checking back to see what else he adds.

Update: removing old links and found that the site now sells beauty products.  I'm not so interested in that!
