How Did That Happen?

When we got home from the play this afternoon, there was a tab open on my browser, a tab that I never opened. I may never have noticed, but this tab shows a picture of our house. Someone looked up our address on Google and got an actual picture of our house. It's a complete 360° view of our neighborhood, just use the arrows to navigate. I didn't realize you could do that. Has anyone else tried it? I heard something like this was available in Milwaukee, but I thought that was just for the big city.

I still don't know how it got on my computer. Maybe Tillie was playing with the computer while we were gone? She was the only one home.

ETA: It was Beth. She did it sometime before we left and didn't tell me.

  1. I had no idea you could do that. I'm going to have to try to find my house.

  2. I know that Google and Microsoft are buying aerial photos from the vendors that take them - our area was flown for the City in November of '06 and the photos (360 degree views) are now up on Microsoft's Live Maps site.

I'm glad you figured out how it got there! :)
