Nearly 600 acres of pristine prairie and lush woodland in the southern unit of Kettle Moraine State Forest provide Old World Wisconsin with an idyllic setting. The largest outdoor museum of rural life in America, Old World Wisconsin portrays the history of immigration and resettlement in late-19th- and early 20th-century Wisconsin.
The lamb I'm cooking for dinner comes from much further away - New Zealand, and I only ever saw that in a package in the store, not looking all cute and woolie like this.
He is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThis brings back SO many memories. Hubs and I had a sheep farm before we moved here. We'd have a couple hundred lambs each lambing season. I never ever thought I'd say this, but I really miss the sheep now. Thanks for these great pics and the even greater memories you brought back for me.

ReplyDeleteAh … so sweet! Not a sight I’m likely to see anywhere near my So Cal beach community. Thanks for sharing. I’m introducing Molly at Small Reflections today.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
So soft and fluffy - how cute!
ReplyDeleteThis is just precious.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute!!! I want a pet lamb now!
ReplyDeleteYou will have to share Mr. Lamby's recipe. I tried my first this year, and he was tasty, but always room for new ideas!! Why do they have to look so cute though???
ReplyDeleteAdorable little lamb. I have a blog I love visiting that belongs to a sheep farmer. Her sheep are all having their babies right now, so there are tons of cute lamb photos. Check it out! The link is on my site, called something like "Losing Our Shirts but saving the farm."
ReplyDeleteHe is very cute. First lamb i've seen today, in or out a packet.
ReplyDeleteDo you raise the sheep for the wool. When I lived in a nearby town, one of my neighbors raised sheep. He always had numbers spray painted on them which in turn made them look rather ugly.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little lamb!
ReplyDeleteYes, sweet and wooly and chops don't seem to fit well together, do they? I bought a raffle ticket from a 4-Her and if we win a lamb of a goat we can have it cut and wrapped or on the hoof. If I win it, I think I might decide to learn to spin.
ReplyDeleteHappy Passover.
Did you find the cutest lamb or what? This photo is just making me saw "awwwwwww." Wonderful, Anna!
ReplyDeleteVery good photograph with marvellous and.... Beloved creature!

ReplyDeleteOh...how cute!!! I've only seen a real live lamb once & I was shocked to heck when I heard it bleat. Poor Hubby was laughing so hard. Hey, I'm a city girl! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Anna! I'm just checking in to see if you are okay. You haven't posted in a few days and I was worried about you. I hope everything is alright and you're not sick. Take care my friend!
